Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen #52: Chocolate Peanut Butter Yummies

Time for Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen
(A weekly linky where you can share your special time in the kitchen, such a great place for learning. You can also link up Kid-Friendly Recipes)

The linky is at the bottom.

The other day the children and I made what they are calling Chocolate Peanut Butter Yummies. Unlike our previous Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen times, I worked with the children one-on-one.

It's a very simple dessert using:
Tortillas
Mini Chocolate Chips
and
Peanut Butter

Spread the peanut butter thinly over one side of the tortilla.

Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips on one half.

Fold it over and place it in a preheated frying pan on medium-low heat.

You just want the chocolate chips to melt, so heat them for a minute or so on each side until the tortilla is slightly browned (unless you would prefer your tortilla crisp, then you can heat them for longer).

Do you have your children help you in the kitchen?  What lessons do they learn? Do you have any kid friendly recipes to share?

I'd love to see your posts, whether you have done something this week or some time in the past. Just link up below. This is a weekly linky.
