More Fun Photography

Photobucket
I really need to start being more faithful in getting photos taken for Perceptive Perspective over at Hollie's blog.
This week's theme is blue

Then I decided I wanted to continue looking for Groups of Three,
This was an item for Scavenger Hunt Sunday last week, which was also the current exploration at The Kat Eye View.

Here is what I found:

These are the crosses on the side of our church.  I had wanted to take a picture of them last Sunday, but I had forgotten my camera.  So glad I can still link up with Exploring With a Camera.

Tabitha actually brought my attention to this group during breakfast last week.  She said the cereal was all lined up.  The girls get to choose one healthy cereal, followed by one sweet cereal.  These were their choices that morning.  I didn't line them up like this to take the picture.  This is how they were.  I thought it was perfect.

Perceptive Perspective-March 8, 2011 Sky (Exploring with a Camera)

Time for some photo fun!

Photobucket

I had read Kat's information over at The Kat Eye View on exploring with a camera.  Her theme has been capturing the sky, and I posted one shot already with last weeks Scavenger Hunt.  After reading her info, I wanted to try to see if I could get a different shot using some of her tips.  And as this week's Perceptive Perspective theme is "sky" I thought I would try.  I saw this sky last week on the way home from play group and tried to ground it for some contrast as suggested by Kat.  How did I do?

Perceptive Perspective-March 2, 2011 Power

Photobucket

I saw this huge tree lying down beside the road yesterday and realized it certainly demonstrated the POWER of the recent storm.  Unfortunately I couldn't take too long to get a better shot that would show you how long (I mean tall) this tree was.

Perceptive Perspective-February 22, 2011

This is another long neglected photo challenge.

Photobucket

This week's challenge was:
Yummy

A nice big salad filling the plate with all sorts of crunchy vegetables with some raisins and cheese thrown on.  That is what I call "YUMMY!!"

Perceptive Perspective: Fall

Photobucket

Time once again for Peceptive Perspective hosted by Hollie over at 2 babycakes 1 Happy Family

I decided to take some shots of the park from a different angle.  In the following pictures I am looking out the window of my son's room.  I wanted to be able to get the tops of the trees in as well as the carpet of leaves on the ground.

And this is a sure sign of fall in our little town (even though there is nothing else to do and the weather is fine)

Perceptive Perspective: Life and Death

Photobucket

This week's theme is Life and Death

I knew right away I wanted to photograph the trees outside our house.
Life on the left-death on the right

As we drove to playgroup last week I was trying to think of another way in which I could capture this week's theme.  I knew there was a cemetery where we were going and I figured there would be flowers adorning the sites, so...

Perceptive Perspective October 12, 2010

Photobucket

This week's theme is Vivid Color

I saw these flowers surrounding this mailbox on our drive the other day.

The rest of these pictures were from our walk around town.
I think the girls may have gotten a little tired of mommy wanting to
stop and take pictures all the time.

This one is actually right next door in their front yard.

Perceptive Perspective: Landscapes

Photobucket

This week's Perceptive Perspective challenge was landscapes.  Unfortunately the heavy rains of late had a huge impact on what I would have liked to photograph.  Lots of the colorful leaves were ripped off the trees.    As we were driving to my son's dentist appointment today I had the opportunity to look for some prospective locations for my picture taking.  The first one is actually part of a golf course.

I felt I would be remiss to leave out a picture of a farm as this is farm country around here.

Perceptive Perspective: Hobbies

Hollie, over at 2 Babycakes, hosts Perceptive Perspective

Photobucket

This week's theme is "Hobbies"

Hubby's #1 hobby is watching football, Buffalo Bills if you please.  He has got to be the #1 Bills fan and is turning the girls into fans #2, #3 and #4.

My #1 hobby, for as long as I can remember, would have to be reading:

I've always liked taking pictures, my mom would say I take too many.  Now with digital cameras I can take pictures to my heart's content.  I am trying to improve my photography skills as best I can with my rinky dink camera:

My new hobby, blogging:

And of course I love working with the girls and getting their lessons ready.

Perceptive Perspective: Hands

Photobucket

This weeks challenge for Perceptive Perspective hosted by Hollie over at 2Babycakes is

Hands

Hannah's hands are always in her mouth, so that was the first subject my mind flew to.  I just love the way the one is curved around the other.

The older girls and I were making leaf bracelets and after we were done I thought it would be a sweet picture if we joined hands.  Took awhile to get in the right lighting.
