Quarterly Top 5: July-September 2012

I missed the last Quarterly top 5. So I wanted to make sure to get this post up as soon as possible. The link up opens today, September 26 and close October 3rd. If you are interested in joining in, you may check out the "rules" here.

As always it was very difficult for me to choose just 5 pictures of my 4 children. Here are the ones that I ended up with.

 I thought this was the cutest little picture of baby Harold snuggling with daddy. Not sure what his expression means.

I love this picture that was taken when we visited my mom. We decided to take a short walk around the block and when I looked up ahead and saw this scene, I had to take a picture.

I took this picture of Amelia when we decided to hold an impromptu photo session at the park. I just love her seriousness and the way she is sitting. When I saw the reminder about the Quarterly Top 5, I knew I had to include this picture. Though there was another picture of her that came close to replacing it, but this remains my favorite. 

I just love how happy Hannah is in this picture. We were at Harold's older children's graduation party where the girls were having a blast playing on the playground. I wish I could find the pictures of Tabitha and Amelia from a couple of years ago at this same park. 

I was thrilled when I caught this shot of Tabitha jumping over the cracks in the sidewalk.  I just wish I hadn't caught the glare in the background.

Quarterly Top 5 (January through March 2012)

It is that time of year again. Time to do the impossible. I have to go through my pictures and pick the top 5 from the last three months. This was especially hard this time because I have so many favorite photos of baby Harold, plus I really like to get one individual shot of each of the girls so they don't feel I was playing favorites (maybe not today, but when they look back at it in later years).  I started out with 11 and worked down to 9. Then the struggle began. This is what I ended up with.

I love the expression on Hannah's face. Just a sense of wonder and joy. This is just a fun shot. It is especially special because there were only 2 or 3 days when the girls got to go out in any amount of snow. 

Hannah just loves these Sesame Street Alphabet books and I just love her toes.

Here the girls are taking turns "listening" to baby Harold with daddy's stethoscope. I just love the look of concentration on their faces.

Something about this shot of Grandma and Grandpa is one of my favorites from in the hospital. The look of contentment and happiness is just so special for me.

I could NOT leave this photo out. The look of adoration on Amelia's face when she was the first one to hold her baby brother just melts my heart (even though the shot itself isn't the best).

The family gathered around the baby is such a sweet picture. Somehow, all the girls are looking at the camera. Daddy and I love the expression on Hannah's face. 

I realize I have gone over the 5, but I have to share one of Tabitha holding the baby. This shot is just so tender.

Quarterly Top 5 #3 (July-Sept)

So, it is time for me to go through all my many pictures and pick my top 5 for the last three months. This is just as hard as it was three months ago. 

My favorite of Amelia was taken on the playground while waiting for Independence Day fireworks. I just wish it wasn't so blurry.

Quarterly Top 5 #2 (April-June)

It was so hard to pick only 5 pictures.  I had so many cute photos of Hannah, each one with an expression I adored.  It was easier to pick the shots I wanted to include of the older girls.  I don't have as many just for fun shots of them.  The majority are taken at lesson time and none of those are what I would consider my top favorite photos.

I loved the reflection in the dishwasher in this shot.  But I also love that she is insisting on sitting in the Bumbo even though she is too big for it.

I just loved this shot of Tabitha.  Her's was actually the easiest to pick.

Had to share a daddy moment and this one was the cutest/sweetest.  

I just loved the fact that I caught Amelia at just the right second to get this shot.

This would have been my top pick for June if I hadn't asked people to vote and then decided to go with daddy's choice.  The more I looked at this photo the more I loved it.

Quarterly Top 5 #1

I am so upset with myself. I found out about this link up a few days ago. Unfortunately I remembered the information wrong.  Yesterday was the last day to link up.  I thought it was the 8th.  However, I still wanted to share my 5 favorite pictures from the first quarter of 2011 (Jan, Feb and March).  So, I now know about this and hopefully will remember to link up on time at the end of the next quarter.  If you would like to see other's favorite photos of their children and/or pets from the first quarter of 2011 just click on the banner above.
Here are my favorite photos, and no it was NOT an easy job picking five.  I wanted to make sure to pick one favorite for each of the girls and then two extra.

I love this picture of the girls celebrating the creation of our sweet snowman.  Even Krystal got involved after she got home from school.

Tabitha is enjoying her birthday cake.  This piece was one of the ice cream cone towers of her fairy castle cake (no real ice cream involved)

I just thought the way Hannah fell asleep in her car seat resting on her hand was adorable.

Another picture of all the girls together.  Krystal had been playing the piano by herself and each girl joined her one by one until they were all playing together.

I love this picture and when I added the matte effect from my computer I loved it even more.

I know, I ended up with 6 photos.  I couldn't decide between the two with Krystal in them.  And seeing as the link up is officially closed, I guess I can cheat a little.  Next quarter I will follow the rules and link up on time.
