Toddler Ideas Tuesday: April 15th, 2014

Welcome back to Toddler Idea Tuesdays! Have you been busy with your young children?
(Sorry there was no link up last week. We were at the Creation Museum in Kentucky!)

Today I wanted to share the fun Shape Flowers we made in the preschool class at co-op. I love having young children use shapes to create art because it gives a hands-on way to learn the shapes.  We identified all the shapes we were using first. Then the children followed my directions to build their flowers.

I used felt for the circle middle, rectangle stem and triangle leaves. The oval petals were made out of construction paper to offer a different sensory experience.

Now onto:

Donna from HoliMess shared these fun "Big" Mac April Fools Burgers. They are so cute!

Don't forget to stop by Donna's blog to find out how they were made.

What sort of activities do you do with your toddler? Do you have some favorite activities you would like to share? I invite you to link up below. I will be pinning posts on my Toddler Ideas board and I would love to feature some of the activities each week from what is linked up. Please know I may share a picture from your post and link back to it, along with sharing how we used your idea in our toddler time. By linking up you are giving me permission to use a picture from your post. I will ALWAYS give credit and link back. Additionally, if you choose to try out any of the ideas with your toddler, please make sure you give credit where credit is due.
