Sunday Photo Round Up
August 12: Upside Down
Just an upside down cooler on the lawn. It needed to dry out. I tried to take a picture of a spider, but it didn't turn out.
August 13: Eyes
Eyes focused on the books they are reading.
August 14: Edge and August 15: Animal
August 16: Toppings
August 17: Something Warm
August 18: White on White
August 19: Trust
We went to the park just to see if we could find this trusting, friendly squirrel again. We met him the other day and he loved the acorns we gave him. Today he preferred the peanuts. I just love the look of trust between these two.
August 20: Nature Macro
Cute teeny toad we saw at the park. Here he is sitting on the picnic table, then by my phone, on my phone, and with some acorns in the background to really get a feel for his teeny size.
August 21: Wild
August 22: Kisses
August 23: Brightly Colored
August 24: Nine
Nine geese in the river and one lone butterfly flying above the grass on the riverbank.
August 25: Round
Seems the children found a couple of snakes underneath our round burn barrel in the yard. See how the mama snake's body is curled 'round itself. Oh, and of course, we were all gathered 'round.
August 12: Reading
August 13: Fiction
Reading their fiction books is considered language arts, right? Amelia decided to try the series with us. It is the Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger. In the second picture they're doing the whole "My precious!" thing.
August 14: Chapter
A look at the last bit of the penultimate chapter and the start of the last chapter of The Keeper of the Lost Cities: Exile. Yes, I finished it and am ready to read Everblaze. Quite the obsession with these wonderful books by Shannon Messenger. Yes, I shared a review in last week's Fun Fiction Friday.

August 16: Middle
August 17: Flashback
So, I thought of doing a Flashback Friday type picture, but I wanted to share this instead. The 7th book of The Keeper of the the Lost Cities series is due out in November. At first I thought I was going to have to wait forever to get it out from the library. But hubby surprised me by letting me preorder this limited collector's edition. Can't wait to read Flashback in a few months.
August 18: Poetry
August 19: Hero
Not any old hero from a movie or book we are reading, but the hero that we should all look up to and emulate, Jesus, the Lord of Lords, and King of Kings. These letters would put up during our Vacation Bible School, as we learned of Jesus's upward bound journey. Today our message was about this journey and how we should be following Jesus on it.
August 20: Motivation
August 21: Description
August 22: Editing
August 23: Character
My favorite character was fleeing quite the disaster in this scene depicted on the cover of The Keeper of the Lost Cities Everblaze by Shannon Messenger.
August 24: Favorite
I don't think it is any secret right now that my favorite book series is The Keeper of the Lost Cities.
August 25: Author
It's always been my dream to write a book. I've always loved to read, and wanted to be able to write my own stories. But usually when I try to think of something to write lately, my mind is like this piece of paper, blank.

August 14: Edge and August 15: Animal
A tiny insect type animal resting on the edge of my daughters finger. They named this little grasshopper "Grassy," and it was just hanging out there, not trying to hop away. Isn't it cute
August 16: Toppings
Some fresh yummy fruity toppings on a couple of donuts. Sadly, we left them in the store. They're not quite on plan
August 17: Something Warm
My warm cup of coffee that went with my breakfast of scrambled eggs and veggies just before we headed out for exercise at the Y.
August 18: White on White
