Well, our Christmas celebration started with our Christmas program at church on Sunday.
My oldest son Steven and his lovely new wife Ashley stopped by.
Now, let's move ahead to Christmas Eve. I know it doesn't look like Christmas Eve, especially for northern PA, but it was. No snow whatsoever and it was warm enough to only need a jacket.
Then we went to our church's Christmas Eve candlelight service with the grandparents.
Daddy and mommy were finally done getting the dollhouse put together and the presents put under the tree.
Christmas morning tradition: children do not come downstairs until mommy and daddy are ready. They are very good at remembering this. The older girls did have to remind the younger ones.
This is how Harold made sure he had removed everything from his stocking. He turned it inside out.
I loved seeing the spirit of giving with these kiddos. They loved giving to each other (and mommy and daddy) and they all were so grateful. Loved the hugs.
Notice Harold jumping up and down in the background? He was so excited for daddy to open his presents.
Not sure why she thought she had to close her eyes to get her present, but it was so cute.
After we had finished the "regular" presents, Amelia presented these gifts she had made. She had spent all month working on them and wrapping them without our knowledge. It really made me tear up. This is the picture she made me.
I enjoyed the photos quite heartwarming too :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and all the best for 2016 :-)
