The linky is at the bottom.

We made cookies earlier this week to go along with our study of Frog and Toad Together. We are using the Progeny Press Study Guide, reading a chapter a week. The activity for this week was to bake cookies. This recipe is from the study guide for the chapter titled, "Cookies," though it didn't turn out quite how we were expecting.

Frog and Toad Together Easy Cookies

Ingredients:

2 cups sugar
2 cups peanut butter
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
10 cups corn flakes

Mix all the ingredients together. We started by mixing the sugar, peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk. After we got that nice and combined I attempted to add in the corn flakes.

I ended up using my hands to combine it as best as I could. Then I made one cookie sheet worth of cookies.

I baked them at 350 degrees for 10 minutes

I put a chocolate chip on the top of some of them, just for fun.

Unfortunately, when I went to make the rest of the cookies up, the dough was so dry, it wouldn't hold together.

So, I poured it all into a pan (yes, there was a lot left) and baked it for about 15 minutes.

I was hoping maybe we would have cookie bars. Unfortunately it still broke apart really easily. We decided it tastes pretty good scooped with a spoon though. We also thought it would make a yummy ice cream topping. So not a total failure.

Do you have your children help you in the kitchen?  What lessons do they learn? Do you have any kid friendly recipes to share?

I'd love to see your posts, whether you have done something this week or some time in the past. Just link up below. This is a weekly linky.
