ARTSI Plusheez Craft Kit Review and Giveaway

We recently had the opportunity to review a new craft kit called Plusheez from ARTSI.

It is no secret that we love art projects here in our house and what little girl could resist this cute little plush animal craft?

The kit comes complete with the plush pillow, over 150 plush pieces and a stylus. Really, that is all you need to turn this cute little animal into a plush creation. There were no written directions included, but it was easy to deduce how to use the stylus to "Pop in the Plush."

The girls were delighted to receive Niko the Cat and couldn't help but give her a few hugs and loving before we got started.

I think the girls realized on their own that the little plush pieces would match the colored spaces on Niko. We decided to start on the head.

The trick is getting the stylus placed in the middle of the plush piece while also having the center of the piece lined up with the little designs on the animal pillow. Inside each design is a little slit that the stylus will push the plush into. When you remove the stylus the plush piece stays behind. I think they look like little flower petals, so cute and colorful!

I did have to help them hold and position the plush pieces. As it was getting a little frustrating for Amelia we decided we would wait until the next day to do more.

The next day, I found Tabitha using the stool as a table to work on Niko some more. Little did I know she was going to finish it all by herself!

The Niko Plusheez Animal Pillow is such a cute little craft for little girls. It is recommended for ages 6 and up, and I have to say, while Amelia was frustrated with trying to get the plush pieces lined up, Tabitha had a much easier time with it. Amelia is only 5 and Tabitha is 6 1/2. I do believe a child Amelia's age could complete this craft with help from mom or an older sister/friend. It could actually be a great one-on-one activity and will definitely help improve fine motor skills. That said, if you are looking for a craft for your child to do independently I would definitely go by the recommended age of 6+.

Once they finish the pillow you do need to be aware that is can only be cleaned with a wet cloth so they can't be taking it everywhere and getting it dirty. The plush pieces do appear to stay in well, though when we put one in the wrong spot we were able to get it out with a sharp tug. Little Harold loves to carry it around as do the girls. So far he hasn't tried taking any of the pieces out, thankfully.

ARTSI also offers 2 other kinds of Craft Kits. There are Stickeez and Glitter Petz. You can find out more about these kits on their website.

All the children have been enjoying Niko so much, we have decided to get them each one for Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of the people at ARTSI, you could win one of your very own to give as a Christmas present this year.

All you need to do is enter in the Rafflecopter form below. There are only 3 simple mandatory entries, with the remainder of the entries being optional. Remember, you do not have to do the extra entries, but they will increase your odds of winning.
