I am not sure how long ago I discovered Super Why! but the girls really enjoy watching the show. I love that this show focuses on the power of reading. I love that they work on sounding out words and rhyming and the alphabet. I also love the problem solving in the stories. Though sometimes I am a little iffy about the way the stories are changed. But, that's just me. I love the show for the most part, as do the girls. That's why I feel my girls would love this prize pack. Books and dolls and a DVD and stickers. Sounds great to me.

Wordless Wednesday: November 2, 2011 (w/linky) Playground Fun

This was our last time of fun at the park. Unfortunately our town closes the park at the end of October, something I will never understand as there is still so much good weather for going out to play. The children are so disappointed.

Giveaway Opportunity at Mama to 4 Blessings: Rayovac Platinum Rechargeable Batteries plus Charger

I'm sure I am not the only one who goes through batteries very very fast. With all the electronic gizmos these days we use a lot of batteries. Of course, the two things that were using batteries the most in our house were the Wii Balance Board and my camera. We bought a Duracell disposable battery charger and batteries a couple of years ago when we realized how fast the Wii board was going through the batteries. Unfortunately after a while they don't charge sufficiently to power the Wii Board, thus my lack of exercise time. I don't know if we need a new board or if the problem is in the batteries. I am leaning more toward the batteries as they also aren't lasting as long between charges in my camera. And if you are a regular reader of my blog, you know I love my photos. Anyway, when I realized that I could have the chance to try out a different brand if I entered this giveaway over at Mama to 4 Blessings I jumped on it.

Tiny Talk Tuesday: November 1, 2011

It's been a while since I have posted my girls' cute saying. Trying to get back on the ball here.
Tabitha had sort of flipped off her sister's bed. She came to us and said, "I didn't get hurt, I just got a little bit broken leg."
The other night Tabitha poured the water for herself out of the big Brita filter. She said, "I'm very impressed by myself. i did it the other night, that's why I'm impressed by myself."
One night Tabitha told me, "I prayed to God to get alive again and to see again because I was blind....and to do God's work.
Miss Hannah is starting to talk a bit, finally. She was refusing to talk or even sign, though we knew she could hear us and understand us. For instance, one day I asked the older two girls where something was. I didn't even realize Hannah was listening. Next thing I knew, Hannah was bringing me the requested object. Anyhow, she is signing, "please" and "more" and "bath." And she is now saying, "pleeee" for "please" and "mo" for "more" while she is signing the word. Oh, and she says mama and dada.

Pizza Party with Play Group

It's been a while, but we had another pizza party at our house with our play group friends. Tabitha has been wanting friends to come over, she even made invitations for friends to come to our house a few weeks ago. I told the parents we could have a pizza party like we've done in the past. Everyone liked the idea, so today was the day. We made individual pizzas again,the children made their own. Everyone brought a little something, carrot sticks, apples, Chex mix, cookies and peanut butter rice crispy bars

And some play time. Makes sense if it is PLAY group, huh.

We were going to have a pinata again. It has been almost two years since we made the pinata for Tabitha's 3rd birthday pizza party. We are in the process of making it. Unfortunately, I didn't read the instructions all the way through and I forgot I needed three layers. So we are a day behind. Fortunately, the other children had a plethora of candy from Trick or Treating, so they asked if we could wait until next week to do the pinata. Yay!!
