Muffin Tin Monday: Columbus Day

Muffin Tin Monday at Muffintinmom.com

Today I decided to give the girls a Columbus Day Muffin Tin.

Peanut butter and jelly Nina and Pinta with cheese sails
Apple section Santa Maria with apple sail
Green bean seaweed
Goldfish
Cookie Compass
I was going to give them blue milk to represent the water, but...no blue (or red) food coloring. Grrrr.

I used the map and the globe to discuss north, south, east and west. We talked about Columbus coming from Spain in Europe and traveling west to America.

You can see last years Columbus Day muffin tin here.
