Today I decided to copy last years Thanksgiving Week muffin tin. As I was looking at last year's tin, I decided it needed to have a few changes. And, as I was making the tin there was another unplanned change. Even if it had been the same, I doubt the girls would have remembered it.
Here is this year's Mini Thanksgiving Feast
Teeny Turkey Sandwiches (found on Pinterest, originally from Family Fun)
Grapes
Stuffing
Dessert Cornucopia
Cranberry sauce
Turkey and cheese roll ups
This sandwich is made with veggie cream cheese filling and green pepper pieces for eyes, carrot slice cut into a triangle for a beak and a sliver of a grape tomato for the wattle.
(last year I made a veggie cornucopia, but as I was finishing this tin up I noticed I had enough veggies but no dessert so I made these by spreading peanut butter on half a wheat tortilla, placing some apple slices, chocolate chips and cinnamon chips in the center and then rolling it up to form a cornucopia)
Of course Hannah ate the dessert first.
Tabitha and Amelia chowed down the grapes, though it took a lot of coaxing to eat most everything else before I would let them eat the cornucopia. I figured the veggie cream cheese wouldn't go over well, but I had to give it a try. Amelia used to love muenster cheese, though recently has said she isn't fond of it. Neither really liked the cranberry sauce. Thinking back, I never liked it as a child. Eventually they ate a sufficient amount to get their cornucopia. Then they both had to bring me some for the baby.
The turkey and cornucopia are super cute! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
