Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen #78: Buttermilk Dip (from My Father's World K Teacher Manual)

Time for Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen
(A weekly linky to share what you and your children have created in the kitchen.)

The linky is at the bottom.

We are finishing up our V: Vegetables unit this week and I decided we would make the Buttermilk Dip recipe to go with our V Muffin Tin. I have never made dip from scratch before and was quite happy with the results, though I will probably cut the salt back a bit next time I make it.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 tsp dried parsley flakes
1 clove garlic, minced (we used 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
1 tsp onion, minced (I used dried minced onion, wasn't sure if it meant fresh or dried)
1/2 tsp salt (will definitely try without the salt first next time)
dash of pepper

I love simple recipes. Just mix it all together, stir and refrigerate.

Here is our V Muffin Tin

Do you have your children help you in the kitchen?  What lessons do they learn? Do you have any kid friendly recipes to share?

I'd love to see your posts, whether you have done something this week or some time in the past. Just link up below. This is a weekly linky.
