Summer Celebration Event- Fit Moms For Life

Up next from A Little Bit of Everything and Fit Mom's for Life

I am excited about this one.  As a mom I know all bout the lack of energy, and about my self image.  Of course, since kids, my body is not the same as it was.  I want to get it back.  I was given the chance to review this book and a video.

The author is Dustin Maher.  It is kind of odd to see a book about moms written by a man.  And a young one as well.  He started getting into teaching aerobics and being a personal trainer in college.  He noticed that the mom's were the ones he enjoyed seeing on a daily basis.  Over time, he did notice that moms brought more energy to their workouts.  The moms appreciated the time they had along, and were able to focus on themselves more.  And of course as moms know, when we feel better about ourselves it reflects to others.

•FMFL community program forms a supportive group of mothers who care enough to help each other achieve personal goals.

•FMFL groups centers around healthy lifestyles through helping each other to make the right choices for themselves and their families.

•FMFL helps moms connect to positive and encouraging community groups with the intentions of forming authentic and influential relationships.

•Mothers who put their health first, lead by example through instilling healthy lifestyle choices on to their children.

•Kids raised by active, healthy, and confident moms will be healthier and more confident in their own lives.

The book talks about several areas that Dustin has found useful.  Mindset, nurtrition, strength and burst training, and environment.  Each of these areas contributes to us as a mom.  By adjusting and changing these areas you can see the biggest change in yourself.  He believes that even if you focus on just one or two of these, you can still change, but if you change and work on all 5 of the areas you can see more long term effects.

At the end of each chapter there is 2 moms success stories.  And they are NOT all super skinny woman.  I REALLY like that.  I think he really showed that you don't have to be super skinny to be happy. You can still have something to you, and still have the energy and feel good about yourself.

I know I chase my kids around all day.  By the time they are all in bed, I am exhausted.  I am going to start using the book and the DVD's.  If you want to keep up with my progress make sure to follow me on A Little Bit of Everything.  I am going to post weekly how I am doing and the changes I see in my life using his program.

The giveaway will be a book as well.  Dustin hopes to encourage more mom's to Get Fit for Life
