Well, I'm a little late posting about what we did last week for the Summer Activity Challenge. I meant to post this on Saturday, but I got busy. Better late than never, huh?

Anyway, if you are not sure what challenge I am talking about I invite you to check out this link for detail.

Sandra at Little Learning Lovies has come up with a fun pack of Summer Activity Cards called "64 Fun Things to Do This Summer." And right now, they are on sale for just $1.00!!

She issued a challenge and there are prizes involved. So, you can spend time with your children and maybe win some prizes, how does that sound? It is not too late to join in!

Story Time
We are participating in 2 Summer Reading Programs. Last week, at our local library, the girls made watering cans,

and Grass hair people

They also had a fun flower snack.

We also went to the nearby town for their story time on Friday.

Fireworks

Of course we went to see the fireworks on the 4th of July.

Bake Bread

We don't make a lot of bread, usually I will make banana bread. This challenge asked ask to try something different, so when I found this recipe for Ice Cream Bread I had to try it. We made it for our Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen last week.

Sprinklers

The girls enjoy going outside to play in the sprinkler (and while it is running it is also watering our garden).  We came up with a fun game where they toss a ball back and forth through the water.

And it appears Hannah would rather stand and sit in a tiny tub of water.

(Harold isn't really fond of it.)

  1. Hello! Looks like y'all are having a fun summer! I'm clicking over from the Little Learning Lovies challenge. I am curious about that ice cream bread. Sounds interesting. We haven't made bread yet for the challenge, so I might have to look into that.
