Littles Learning Link Up: May 23, 2017

 Each month you will find:
  • A seasonal round-up (toward the beginning of the month)
  • Posts where I share what I have been up to with my preschoolers and/or early elementary children (including occasional highlight posts where I share how we used ideas that have been linked up here on Littles Learning Link Up).
Each week, I will host a link up, where you can share either what you have been up to recently, or old posts that may go with the theme.  Feel free to link up more than one post.

Each week I will continue to feature a couple of posts from those that have been linked up.

I hope you will continue to share your wonderful posts, and I hope you will find something new to try with your child(ren).

It would be great for everyone to stop by and visit the other linked-up posts as well. Check them out, leave some comments, pin those that interest you. Let's make this a real party and socialize with each other.

What have we been up to?

We have been learning about China for the past week, though we are taking a week off so I have some time to recuperate from my surgery. So, we will continue China next week. We have watched both Mulan movies and Kung Fu Panda. The children had fun using their Chinese yuan to purchase their movie tickets and some snacks for the movie. We learned that sunflower seeds are a popular snack in China, so the children have been enjoying eating them for snacks and with lunch.

I wanted to share the fun we had the other day when Tabitha planned a fun treasure hunt for her siblings. She made up rhyming clues (with a little help from me) and set them around the yard. She buried a bowl that she had placed some packs of gummies and a box of pudding for them to make together, as the treasure.

Let's take a look at that review schedule:

Last week I posted my review of Only Passionate Curiosity's online course called Homeschool Rescue. And yesterday, my review for Thin Stix from The Pencil Grip, Inc. went live. I have been reading the Christian Heroes book about David Livingstone from YWAM Publishing.  That review will be posting at the very beginning of June. Also in June I will be posting the reviews for: Memoria Press Latina Christiana, which I am using with Tabitha, K5 Learning, WhistleFritz, Marsh Media, Hewitt Homeschooling, and the Adventures of Rush Revere Book Series.

Some thing I would like to share with you:

Father's Day is next month. If you are looking for ideas for gifts or cards, I would love for you to check out my Father's Day Gift and Card Round Up.

Two weeks ago I shared the Colors and Color Mixing Fun Literature and Craft Round Up which featured some of my favorite books about colors and color mixing, along with our Camouflaged Chameleons. You will also find a collection of great links to other blogs with fun color/color mixing ideas that go with different books.

And here are some of my past Round Ups with lots of fun crafts and activities that are appropriate for springtime.
