- A seasonal round-up (toward the beginning of the month)
- Posts where I share what I have been up to with my preschoolers and/or early elementary children (including occasional highlight posts where I share how we used ideas that have been linked up here on Littles Learning Link Up).
Each week, I will host a link up, where you can share either what you have been up to recently, or old posts that may go with the theme. Feel free to link up more than one post.
Each week I will continue to feature a couple of posts from those that have been linked up.
I hope you will continue to share your wonderful posts, and I hope you will find something new to try with your child(ren).
It would be great for everyone to stop by and visit the other linked-up posts as well. Check them out, leave some comments, pin those that interest you. Let's make this a real party and socialize with each other.
What have we been up to?
We finished our two week "stay" in Japan on Saturday, and "flew" to China yesterday. While we were in Japan, the children had a blast learning how to create Origami works of art.
Let's take a look at that review schedule:
A little over a week ago, I posted my review for ArtAchieve: Entire Level II. We are really enjoying these art lessons.
Later this week you can look forward to my review of Only Passionate Curiosity's online course called Homeschool Rescue. Next week I will be posting my review for Thin Stix from The Pencil Grip, Inc. I have been reading the Christian Heroes book about David Livingstone from YWAM Publishing. That review will be posting at the very beginning of June. Also in June I will be posting the reviews for: Memoria Press Latina Christiana, which I am using with Tabitha, K5 Learning, WhistleFritz, Marsh Media, Hewitt Homeschooling, and the Adventures of Rush Revere Book Series.
Some thing I would like to share with you:
Last week I shared the Colors and Color Mixing Fun Literature and Craft Round Up which featured some of my favorite books about colors and color mixing, along with our Camouflaged Chameleons. You will also find a collection of great links to other blogs with fun color/color mixing ideas that go with different books.
And here are some of my past Round Ups with lots of fun crafts and activities that are appropriate for springtime.

Even mommy has been having fun.
As usual we read some great books that helped us learn about Japanese culture. Our science topic focused on Oceans, and will continue to as we move onto China. We didn't have a feast full of Japanese food, as I couldn't find any recipes that would work for us. I do hope to make our own fried rice while we are in China, or maybe convince the hubby that it would be cool to go to a Chinese restaurant. Tabitha is eager to get her hands on some chopsticks, so I need to see what we can do about that.
We have been focusing on learning numbers and colors in Spanish with WhistleFritz. This is mainly for Harold, but the older children have been joining in with the games, and Tabitha and Amelia are learning as they help us review.
