Toddler Ideas Tuesday: September 30, 2014

Welcome back to Toddler Idea Tuesdays! I hope you will join with me again in sharing the fun activities, crafts, and lessons that you are doing with your young children.

We took a week off of school last week. It wasn't planned, but I was unorganized and the outdoors was calling to us. So, we spent some time playing in and gathering leaves to bring home for crafts. We were going to do a leaf unit, but the motivation was very low last week. If we get another nice day, we will probably head outside, gather some more leaves and really do a leaf unit this week or next. We have to gather more leaves because the ones we found last week have already become dry and brittle.

Here are the pictures they made with the some of the leaves we gathered.

  1. You are so lucky to have so many different types of leaves to study around you. Living in the desert, I always felt so "leaf poor." I would have loved to have had my kids study more different types of leaves than just what few trees we have.

  2. I used to love playing in the leaves when I was younger and then making art projects out of them too!
