Hello!
ReplyDeleteYes, I will post a picture when the village is complete. We have 4 tepees completed and 4 more to go! I plan on using the village so Squeak and I can act out Indian life in our own little village. I also have a hacky-sack like game that we are going to make from another kit I bought.
We are using both BJU and Horizons. I dropped Singapore. It was too abstract for me to teach. I felt like I was teaching blindly and whatever I was saying wasn't making sense. Squeak did well with it but I didn't! So I would definitely keep Horizons in mind. I didn't realize how advanced it's scope and sequence was until I really looked at the BJU book. I already bought the 3rd grade Horizon books for the fall/winter. (I like to look ahead).
You do an awesome job piecing together your own stuff!! I'm way too comfortable relying on curriculum for that!!
So cute! My boys would so enjoy eating dino sandwiches.
