I was reading Tabitha's chapter book to her yesterday at naptime. We were talking about the turtles and how they walk slowly. She said, "They crawl really slowly because their legs aren't long enough to crawl fast." I don't ever recall talking to her about that subject, as far as I know she came up with that all on her own.
We were looking at pictures on the computer of our trip last year to the Erie Zoo. We came to the picture of the alligator and Tabitha said, "We don't pet those."
Mom: Why not?
T: Because they bite us. I don't think they bite us. I think that's a crocodile or an alligator. I think that's an alligator.
Daddy was lying down on the floor, pretending to use Tabitha as a pillow. She said, "I'm a family, not a pillow."
Daddy then used Amelia instead.
T: Dad this is your pillow (meaning herself).
The girls were sitting at our little table that is now going to be used for lesson time (will share a post of our room organization and curriculum we are using soon). It was time for a snack of ice cream cones. Tabitha said, "I'm not done at school. I'll be right at the restaurant to eat ice cream cones."
She is calling the table school and the dining room table the restaurant.

I realize I neglected this post and my Words of Wisdom Wednesday last week. I think I am a little less stressed this week, having most of our lessons planned ahead a bit, so stop by tomorrow for the next Words of Wisdom Wednesday question for you to pose to your child(ren).
Here are some of the past questions I asked Tabitha.
Why do we sleep?
Why do we brush our teeth?
How do you think we drive?
How do we get dressed?
If you would like to read her cute answers to these questions just click on the button below. If you would ever like to join up you can just grab the button on the left sidebar and join up with the linky every Wednesday. Enjoy.
