Our son and daughter-in-law invited us over for dinner at their place where they live with her parents, and our oldest daughter Krystal was there as well. When I asked what the occasion was, I was told, oh, nothing special, just wanted to have you over for dinner. However, the sneakies were really having a celebrate/appreciate/thank the parents night. While we were there, they gathered with the younger children in the other room to write out special memories and thank yous for each of the parents, which were then set at our spots at the table. It was so sweet. And of course, we got to see a couple of our grandchildren.
Like father, like son.
