Wordless Wednesday: February 20, 2019 (w/linky) - Happy 7th Birthday Harold!

For the 7th birthday tradition we go out to eat at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Traditionally it was Ponderosa, but they closed, so we surprised him by going up to the mall and then heading over to the Old Country Buffet.

We really caught him off guard because his birthday wasn't until the next day.

Sunday morning brought the other birthday traditions.

Breakfast showing how old he was, because, you know, no one would know without this announcement. This year, his dino almost got to the food first.

Traditional top-of-the-stairs photo

A little sad he doesn't zing down the stairs on his behind anymore. Sigh. Another sign he is growing up.

My son Steven, daughter-in-law Ashley, and granddaughter Annika met us at church and spent the day with us. We also went to get Krystal after church.

Dinner was supposed to be homemade pizza. However, we were without power from the time we got home from church til around 6 pm. So, we ordered pizza instead.

Getting the cake ready for after the presents. I sure wish I had time to make fancy cakes the way I used to.

Present time.

He was a bit confused, and then looked disappointed, when he understood that the card from brother Steven and Ashley stated that he wouldn't be getting a present.

Then they surprised him with this huge bucket of dinos.

His sisters redid one of the cars for him. Number 7 for his age and a dinosaur.

Cake time

We realized the extra cut marks looked like claw marks. So his new fingerling dino thingy took the blame.

Krystal was quite amused by the face in the ice cream.

Looking forward to seeing your Wordless (or not so wordless) Wednesday posts this week.

No button currently, and there won't be one until I can figure it out seeing as Photobucket has changed things. Feel free to still share the picture in place of the button on your Wordless Wednesday post or in a list of Wordless Wednesday linkies. Just link it to my Wordless Wednesday permalink please.
