Littles Learning Link Up: June 20, 2017

 Each month you will find:
  • A seasonal round-up (usually toward the beginning of the month)
  • Posts where I share what I have been up to with my preschoolers and/or early elementary children (including occasional highlight posts where I share how we used ideas that have been linked up here on Littles Learning Link Up).
Each week, I will host a link up, where you can share either what you have been up to recently, or old posts that may go with the theme.  Feel free to link up more than one post.

Each week I will continue to feature a couple of posts from those that have been linked up.

I hope you will continue to share your wonderful posts, and I hope you will find something new to try with your child(ren).

It would be great for everyone to stop by and visit the other linked-up posts as well. Check them out, leave some comments, pin those that interest you. Let's make this a real party and socialize with each other.

What have we been up to?

Our last week of school for the 2016-2017 school year was very disorganized. The majority of our learning was through the reading of the books on the arctic, tundra, and Russia. We didn't get to any of the art projects I would have liked to have done, and we didn't get to make a meal with foods from Russia. We did watch Anastasia, which we had never seen. That was the only children's movie I could think of that takes place in Russia.

Here are the books we read:

Tabitha led an art lesson in drawing a puffin:

And then Amelia came up with a polar bear craft.

My plan for the summer school session is to spend some time doing all the hands-on science observations from the different units that we didn't get to through the school year. And I'm still hoping to fit in a meal from Russia. We are supposed to be finishing up ECC with our lessons on Australia; however, I may hold this off for the first two weeks of the school year. I haven't quite gotten my plans finalized for summer school yet, as I am still trying to finish up the girls' portfolios.

Let's take a look at that review schedule:

Last week I posted my review for WhistleFritz.
This week I will be posting my review for The Adventures of Rush Revere Book Series and next week I will share about Hewitt Homeschooling. July will bring reviews of the Trust Fund movie from Mapelle Films, Rigid Wrap and CelluClay Quik-Sculpting Kit from ACTÍVA Products, the Learn to R.E.A.D Curriculum Notebook from Crafty Classroom, and English on a Roll. In August I will share my review of Hey Andrew! Teach Me Some Greek! from Greek 'n' Stuff. Yes, we are officially on a bit of a break before our summer school session, but we aren't going to be bored. I do appreciate that most of these review products are fun, hands-on learning materials.

Some things I would like to share with you:

Summer is here! Whether you will be going to the beach or are looking to pretend to go to the beach, here is a fun round up of Beach-related activities. The Beach Fun Round Up.

Or maybe camping is more your "thing." Or maybe you have plans to go to the beach and to go camping this summer. Here is my Camping Fun Round Up.

I will soon be posting my Under the Sea Fishy Fun Literature and Craft Round Up. If you have any posts that you would like included in this round up, please leave me a comment or contact me using the contact info on my About Me page. I am looking for any "Favorite Fish/Under the Sea Books" compilation list posts or crafts/activities/snacks that go with a specific Fish/Under the Sea book, or a post that focuses on just one Fish/Under the Sea Book. Just so long as there is a book involved please.

Now onto:
