Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge Finale

This week is the finale for Shades of Autumn a photo challenge. I actually forgot to add it to my Scavenger Hunt Sunday post, but then I realized it might be more appropriate to post a separate post anyway. So here are some of my favorite autumn shots.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday: November 27, 2011

Scavenger Hunt Sunday items: Waiting, Foliage, Candid, Knife Fork or Spoon, and Rule of Thirds

Waiting
Waiting for my turn to drive onto the scale at the Transfer Station so I will know how much we have to pay for our garbage.

Had to share this one too. This shot is the view I had in my seat while my daughter and I were waiting to watch Breaking Dawn.

 Foliage
(or as I call it non-foliage)
A shot of some foliage free trees next to the finished bridge on the other side of town. This shot shows the stone part of the pedestrian bridge. The wooden part that actually spanned the river has now been taken down, thus the barrier.

And some trees outside our house at dusk.

 Candid
Caught this shot of Hannah putting the basket on her head while watching the Thanksgiving parade.

 Knife, Fork or Spoon

I walked into the kitchen after dinner on Thanksgiving and saw the knife and fork sticking out of the turkey and thought immediately of this prompt. Hubby had carved the turkey and left them sticking up like this.

And I had no idea what to do for Rule of Thirds.

Moments to Remember From the Week of Nov 20-26, 2011

It is the first week of "Moments to Remember" hosted by 1+1+1=1 and Homeschool Creations. Here is what it is all about:
Moments to Remember was developed as a simple way to look back on our week as homeschoolers and find photos that encompass the memories we want to remember.

The week may have been tough, there may have been more bumps than smiles, but in the end these are the moments that keep us going, the ones we need to remember.

Our special moments this week were made while we baked:

Amelia really wanting to learn how to read, so I made her some ingredient flash cards.

Tabitha practicing her reading by reading the amounts of each ingredient we needed.

All ready to bake.

Our special moments also came from our Thanksgiving Celebration:
