We went to Tanglewood Nature Center and Museum for a Homeschool program about birds which included a walk on one of their trails to look for birds. Sadly it was quite cold and we didn't see any out in the wild. We did enjoy seeing some of the live ones presented and seen in cages, plus other animals.
Here's Gridley, a Merlin Falcon
And here is Sophie the Great Horned Owl.
Trail time
Hank the Red Tailed Hawk
And this crow's name is Jekyll
Back inside where it was WARM!!
Tabitha remembered that the Ruffed Grouse was the Pennsylvania state bird.
Help!!!!!
Oh, you scared me. It's nice to meet you.
Making up. See the bear wasn't trying to eat the hubby.
In fact, he and his friend like the entire family.
Checking out Beatrice.
And Clawdia
And a nice surprise sighting of a few white tail deer. We much prefer seeing them when they aren't in the road.
No button currently, and there won't be one until I can figure it out seeing as Photobucket has changed things. Feel free to still share the picture in place of the button on your Wordless Wednesday post or in a list of Wordless Wednesday linkies. Just link it to my Wordless Wednesday permalink please.
I really enjoyed the virtual tour. Lovely pics as always.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic family outing and thank you so much for sharing. It's so much fun doing things together and making happy memories. HAPPY EASTER to all...
These are great photos. I can't help but wonder what the boxes they transport their birds of prey in are made of...we used big heavy wooden boxes to transport the ones we used for education in the zoo where I worked.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a wonderful field trip. To bad it wasn't a little warmer so you could have seen some of the birds in the wild. The owl is my favorite!
