As a parent of 7 children I know the importance of swaddling an infant. I have just never been able to get the hang of it. Yes, after 6 older children and one newborn, I am not able to perfectly swaddle a baby.
The creator of Woombie, who happens to be an RN, searched for a way to make a swaddle that would not come unraveled and would keep a baby from overheating, but at the same time allow a baby to stretch. The Woombie was born in December of 2007.
Here is a quote from their website:
"Parents love The WOOMbie because of its easy IN/OUT design, stay put zipper which will not open or unravel and its unique 4 way stretch material. In a nut-shell, the WOOMbie helps to maintain the comfort levels of both baby and parent, easing undue stress and promoting a more peaceful environment, which is greatly, greatly needed and appreciated during the first few months of life during transition from the womb."
They have expanded their products to include variations of the original Woombie, plus Eco Cushions, Blankets, Hats, CozyDry Towels, Mox Mittens and more.
They state:
"We are Environmentally conscious, as all of our products are manufactured in an eco-friendly factory and manner. No harsh chemicals, no flame retardants. We practice strict compliance per CPSIA standards. Strict safety testing using CPSIA standards and testing in a CPSIA third party accredited testing facility are top priority."
Head over to their site to check out all their great products.
Don't forget to stop back starting March 1st for an opportunity to enter a giveaway for one of their great products as a part of my Baby Shower Celebration.
We LOVED LOVED LOVED using the Woombie! It changed our life and gave us extra sleep. =)
