This week we read the story Mr. Gumpy's Outing by John Burningham as a "go-along" with last week's book, Mr. Gumpy's Motor Car. It was the children that asked for another muffin tin planned around Mr. Gumpy, but they didn't want a hot dog. Fortunately I have a car shaped cookie cutter. This muffin tin combines the two books.
Sun shaped cheese because it was a nice day for an outing.
Car shaped bologna sandwich.
Chocolate milk mud, because they got stuck in the mud in Mr. Gumpy's Mototcar.
Apricot half boat, because in Mr. Gumpy's Outing they went for a boat ride.
Carrot poles to steer the boat.
Yum, drinking mud.
It is always so much fun connecting a muffin meal with a story.
