This week we are rowing the book Mr. Gumpy's Motor Car by John Burningham. Without further ado, here's the tin:
A simple motor car made out of a hot dog with hot dog slice wheels and a graham cracker quarter windshield.
Cheddar cheese sun for the sunny days.
Animal crackers for the animals that piled in the car for the ride.
Salad and grapes for the countryside they drove through.
Marshmallows for the clouds that came.
Chocolate pudding for the mud they got stuck in.
And they had water to drink for the rain and the water they went swimming in afterwards.
View from above:
I attached the wheels with toothpicks on the rolls except for on Amelia's. Her car's wheels just balanced.
Amelia ended up burying her hot dog in the mud.
Very cute idea!

ReplyDeleteI had never thought of making a hotdog into a car, yet that looks so simple. I love it! I always try to come up with new ideas for my kids to eat food.
