Muffin Tin Monday: How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World

Today we started How To Make an Apple Pie and See the World by Marjorie Priceman. The baker in the story travels around the world to gather the ingredients for the pie because the market is closed. Our muffin tin today had foods that represented the foods she went to find in each of the countries.

The baker went to Italy to get semolina wheat (we had raviolis),

To France to get a chicken to lay an egg (we had chicken nuggets),

To Sri Lanka to get cinnamon (we had cinnamon sugar toast strips),

To England to get a cow for milk to make butter (we had milk),

To Jamaica to get sugar cane (needed sugar for the toast of course),

And back to America, Vermont to be specific, to get the apples.

Hannah had about the same lunch, no flags though.

Head on over to Muffin Tin Mom to check out other muffin tins this week.
