Toddler Ideas Tuesday: "Jesus is the Light of the World" Lampstands

Welcome back to Toddler Idea Tuesdays! I hope you will join with me again in sharing the fun activities, crafts, and lessons that you are doing with your young children.

We have been focusing on learning about Jesus being the light of the world with one of our recent review products from The Schoolhouse Review Crew. I will be sharing my review later this evening, but I wanted to give you another sneak peek at what we have been up to. (My previous sneak peek was last week's Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen where I share yummy "Jesus is the Light" Torches.) While the snacks were a suggestion from the lessons that came with the Egglo Eggs, this craft is something of my own creation. All of the children enjoyed making "Jesus is the Light of the World" Lampstands.

I started out by taping two pieces of computer paper together for each child. Then we used a half of the Glow in the Dark Egglo Egg to make yellow prints representing candle flames.

I then wrote "Jesus is the light of the world," placing one word in each candle flame. Then the children filled them in with paint.

I helped Hannah and Harold draw the lampstand, while Tabitha and Amelia did their own.
