Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen #47: Chocolate Chip Crescent Rolls

Time for Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen
(A weekly linky where you can share your special time in the kitchen, such a great place for learning. You can also link up Kid-Friendly Recipes)

The linky is at the bottom.

Amelia wanted to make chocolate chip crescent rolls, so we made this our Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen time (though as Amelia reminded me, we were actually in the dining room).

We just used the refrigerated crescent rolls in a can and poured mini chocolate chips in the center of each dough triangle before rolling it up. I figured the mini chips would melt faster and better.

I just followed the directions on the crescent rolls in regards to baking them. We always set the timer for a little under the lowest recommended time, because we have had these get too dark before.

A simple treat that children can help with, yet quite tasty. I'm thinking spreading peanut butter on the dough before adding the chocolate chips will make this even better.

Do you have your children help you in the kitchen?  What lessons do they learn? Do you have any kid friendly recipes to share?

I'd love to see your posts, whether you have done something this week or some time in the past. Just link up below. This is a weekly linky.
