Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen #46- Peanut Butter Fudge

Time for Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen
(A weekly linky where you can share your special time in the kitchen, such a great place for learning. You can also link up Kid-Friendly Recipes)

The linky is at the bottom.

Instead of Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen, this week we are featuring:
Kids and a Dad in the Kitchen!
(Because daddy is the expert when it comes to peanut butter fudge.)

Peanut Butter Fudge

2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1 tbs butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup (plus) peanut butter

First measure out the butter, vanilla and peanut butter in a bowl so it is ready to be used later. Set aside.

Pour the sugar and milk into a pan and heat on medium heat. Stir constantly until it reaches the soft ball stage.  Daddy tests for the correct stage by putting a little bit in a bowl of very cold water.

When it is ready, add the reserved ingredients and stir.

Pour into a greased 8x8 pan.

Let cool, it is very, very hot!

(Yes, this is an old picture. I forgot to take a picture of the fudge before we started eating it. Obviously we had munched on a bit in this picture too. Haven't they grown so much.)

Do you have your children help you in the kitchen?  What lessons do they learn? Do you have any kid friendly recipes to share?

I'd love to see your posts, whether you have done something this week or some time in the past. Just link up below. This is a weekly linky.
