Scavenger Hunt Sunday: July 3, 2011

This week's items were interesting.  I actually didn't get to do what I planned on doing for a couple of them.  Anyhow, this is what I came up with .

This week's items:
Pop of Color, Crossing Thresholds, X-Ray, Toy, Hidden or Farm

Pop of Color

Hubby actually had a different idea that I was going to try to work with, but I never got a chance to.  I saw my lilies sitting innocently by the porch and decided I should see if I could get it to work for this prompt.  I think the orange pops.

 Crossing Thresholds
The girls are crossing the threshold from the bridge part of the temporary walkway on the other side of town where they are fixing the bridge that has been closed for years.  We are finally able to enjoy the solid "pavement" as opposed to the lose stone they put down first.

X-Ray

Photobucket
Had no idea what to do for X-Ray. I used Photobucket's "invert" effect hoping it was close enough.

Toy
I really wanted to get this piggy for Hannah for her birthday. She loves to put things into holes (plastic knives into old juice containers, etc).  It didn't take her long to figure out how to get the coins into this toy piggy bank. And she loves the sound effects/music.

Hidden
I chose the "hidden" option for this prompt.  This is my bird bath hidden by a huge weed that sprung up.

Then I decided to combine a few
Toy/Hidden/Farm
The girls got this farm set a couple of Christmases ago.  We store the animals and people hidden in the silo.  And notice the pig hidden under the haystack.

  8. You gave me an idea- I might have to have a scavenger hunt for my boys and 2 of their cousin's Thursday morning. That would keep them busy! We have a big yard. I could hide clues all over. I couldn't decide what to do with them.

My sister and brother-in-law need time with new baby that has Trisomy 18. He's not doing too good. His feeding tube fell out a few nights ago, it took hospice 6 tries to get it back in. Since his color hasn't been the same. I've been taking in their older two when I can. Last week we did Slip n' Slide, Cars 2 and the week before the park.
