Muffin Tin Monday: Race Car

Muffin Tin Monday at Muffintinmom.com

I wasn't sure what I was going to do for today's muffin tin as we aren't starting a new letter because Tabitha is going to VBS this week.  Krystal suggested I find out what the theme was for VBS so I gave my friend a call.  It's perfect:
Racing
It goes with my previous letter of the week.  Though I didn't have any brilliant ideas for the tin, I found a bunch of great ideas on previous muffin tin posts.  It was almost 2 years ago that Planes, Trains and Automobiles was the theme over at Muffin Tin Mom.  So as I list the items in each muffin cup I will link to where I found my ideas.

Hot Dog Race Cars (which Michelle over at Delightful Learning found at Taste of Home)

Michelle had also made checkered flag cookies.  Because I didn't have time to make the cookies, I looked for some other ideas and I found this great idea for waffle checkered flags over at Spors in the Desert .  I added melted chocolate to the peanut butter and used Fat Free Cool Whip for the white.

I then found graham cracker stop lights at Our Homeschool Fun.

And apple steering wheels were Michelle's idea.  As were "stick shifts" though she used licorice and I used pretzel sticks.

As I was looking through the store for ideas I found some Gogurt with Cars themes on them.  And I added wagon wheel pasta.

I gave Tabitha's car the number 24 for my favorite driver, Jeff Gordon.

And Amelia got the 5 for daddy's favorite driver, Mark Martin.

Pretty well received.  I did eat Tabitha's olives
