My Baby is A Year Old!!!

Not sure if I should be happy or sad right about now.  I know how fast children grow up, I have an almost 19 year old, an almost 18 year old and a 14 year old.  One of the reasons I take so many pictures, post on my blog and write down so much of what they do and say is because I can't remember what the older ones did at this age and it is so frustrating.

My precious baby
Her very first year in photos, one month at a time:

This pink lamb will be very popular in this post.

Doesn't she look thrilled to be home?

Happy 1st Birthday Hannah!!!
The cake was made by sissy Krystal.

Grandmas and Grandpa made it over to celebrate.

This is what my one year old likes to do.  More on that in my weekly post.

Time for our last monthly pictures:
12 months old (obviously)

Here Hannah and Lamby are joined by Hannah's new friend, her puppy Scout (from Leap Frog). She got him for her birthday. We can personalize him by going on line and attaching him with a USB cable.

Hannah is so close to walking, she's taken two steps.

But when we tried again to play pass the baby she will only take one at the most.  Except for the one time she took two steps with her left leg.

  1. I'm the same way, I do not remember what my older kids did when they were younger much either. It is almost like they were raised by someone other than me, even though that someone was just my younger self. Of course, some of it is that so much has changed, parenting is just a different experience now. My oldest was laid down on his side as an infant, now it's nothing but the back. He watched VHS tapes and listened to cassette tapes. He was out of his booster seat at the age of three... and so on.

  2. She is beautiful, love her smiles, and Happy Birthday! I started a journal because I realized how fast time goes by and I want to be able to remember things she did and also have something for her when she is adult about her childhood.

  7. I love this! I *really* need to do a better job of posting personal stories and pictures on my blog! Like you, I can't remember the early years very well. I have 3 and it seems like a blur. Which one used to say "You're skwishing me!"? When did Alaska Girl lose her first tooth? (Hawaii Boy just lost his first tooth last month.)

I have to ask: How much does Hannah weigh? She looks so petite. I have petite kids. My youngest is 7 1/2 and still doesn't quite weigh 40 pounds. People tend to think he is only 4. My oldest is 16 and people tend to think she is 12. Only the middle one (who is almost 12) has grown out of being "petite". He is chunky, but still short. People don't misjudge his age as much any more.
