Muffin Tin Monday: Movies

Muffin Tin Monday at Her Cup Overfloweth

Seeing as I  never did a themed lunch for Nn and I was looking for a way to use the assigned theme: Movies, I decided to let the girls watch Finding Nemo and make a muffin tin meal based on that theme.

We had:
Fish shaped tuna sandwiches
goldfish crackers
blue jello ocean with a swedish fish
green seaweed (spinach)
popcorn and pretzels because we eat those two at the movies
And soda, which we do not have very often at all, but as we do get
it at the movies I thought it would be appropriate.

Tabitha enjoyed the jello, pretzel and popcorn.  She ate some of the sandwich. Surprisingly she didn't eat her goldfish crackers or the spinach.  She did grab the Swedish fish out of the jello and say she had found Nemo.

Amelia ate more of her sandwich than I thought she would, and the popcorn.  She didn't seem too fond of anything else.  Oh, except for the jello which she played in.  I know it was supposed to represent water, but she was acting as if it really was water and  washing her hands in it.  Grrrr.

Guess this wasn't as well received as some of my other ideas.

Head on over to Michelle's blog, Muffin Tin Mom to see what others are treating their children to.

  3. Cute tin! We did Nemo today too! I almost did fish sandwiches but something about eating fish for a Nemo theme felt wrong to me. After all - "Fish are friends, not food." LOL
