Completing Him Challenge and more

Wow, I feel like I have so much to share.  I was on Angela's blog, Confessions of a Non-Domestic Housewife and saw what I feel is a summer challenge sent to me from God.  No it is not another Reading challenge, though I am still involved in those. I am excited to be joining in on the Completing Him Challenge hosted by Courtney over at Women Living Well.  This officially started on June 7th and is headed into its 2nd week.  The way the schedule looks (which you will find if you click on either of the above links) starting in right now will not put us behind at all, as this first week was devoted to posting about the challenge.  Come and join us on this journey to become all your husband needs you to be.

And I have been convicted that though I have decided to read all these books for the Reading Challenges, and though I have been trying to search for Christian books for my Thriller/Suspense challenge, and have found some really intriguing/inspirational reads, I have been neglecting the most important book there is.  I need to find time to read my Bible.  Looking at the way my day goes, I am still trying to figure out when exactly is the best time to read my Bible so it can become a routine that can not be shaken.  As I was searching Courtney's blog I found her post "Where Do I Start on the Bible?  Are Your Kids Bored with It?" She discusses reading the Bible at breakfast to the kids and what order to begin reading the Bible in for your self.  I am going to take her advice, even though I have been reading the Bible sporadically for about 13 years.  I feel I need to get a good foundation laid, which seems to be lacking.  She suggests starting in the Gospel of John, followed by Acts and Romans.  To see her complete advice head over to her blog here.

While I was reading the comments left by readers of the above post, I discovered a different resource that I am going to be keeping up with.  It is called Scripture Dig and is focusing on learning the basics of the Bible and learning to dig deeper into God's Word.
