Littles Learning Link Up: May 21, 2019

Each month you will find:

• A seasonal round-up (usually toward the beginning of the month)
• Posts where I share what I have been up to with my early elementary children and the preschoolers I work with at our homeschool co-op (including occasional highlight posts where I share how we used ideas that have been linked up here on Littles Learning Link Up).

Each week, I will host a link up, where you can share either what you have been up to recently, or old posts that may go with the theme.  Feel free to link up more than one post.

Each week I will continue to feature a couple of posts from those that have been linked up.

Well, co-op is over for the year, so I won't have any preschool posts until October. That means I get to go back to sharing what the children and I are doing in our homeschool. So, of course, last week was a no-school week. We are on our final stretch of this school year, four more weeks until we are "done." We always make sure to be done with the current school year prior to Amelia's birthday on June 18th. Then, in July and August at some point there will be a summer session, which counts towards our days for next school year.

Even though we had last week off, the children still found ways to be learning. They love to play Minecraft, and the children are still working on those Roman Coliseums, though they have other files where they are working on other things. They also played board games at times during the week.

On Friday there was a live online science class on Chemistry from Supercharged Science, a curriculum we are currently reviewing. The children got to make glow-in-the-dark slime. There were a couple of other experiments we couldn't do during the class, but we have the link to the videos so we can watch it again and do it when we have all the supplies. It was quite a fun lesson.

They've been working on typing and math with EdAlive. I happened to get some pictures of Harold yesterday.

And with our My Father's World curriculum, which we have picked back up after having taken a break to review Ancient Rome with the Online Unit Study from Techie Homeschool Mom, and having used Pathway to Liberty for several weeks, the children started designing some coats of arms.

Let's take a look at that review schedule real quick:

Two weeks ago, I shared my reviews for Pathway to Liberty and Elementary Math Games from The Critical Thinking Co.. And last week I shared my review for the picture book titled Nothing by Natalee Creech from Worthy Kids.

This week I will share my reviews of the book God is Better Than Trucks from Christian Focus,  and a couple of online subscriptions from EdAlive. And next week you will be able to read my review of  Supercharged Science.

In June I will share reviews for the movie Life With Dog from Mill Creek Entertainment, Simply Classical Writing from Memoria Press, Lightning Lit Grade 2 from Hewitt Homeschooling Resources, and Matific Galaxy

Phew, yes we are still busy with quite a few review products.
