Sunday Photo Round Up
June 3: I Sat Here
I sat here on the couch with my son so we could snuggle and relax while watching a movie this afternoon. We are smiling (sort of) because we got to spend time together.
June 4: This Is So Me
This is so me, taking pictures of the kids while they are getting their work done. And yes, I get this look occasionally. Like, mom, please go away.
June 5: Favorite
A favorite meal when we go out to eat. I love when restaurants serve breakfast any time of day, because I know I can stay on plan (Trim Healthy Mama). So thankful they are willing to substitute broccoli for the potatoes.
June 6: Where I Work
I work at home, homeschooling my children. Sometimes we go on field trips or have places to go, so we will do some learning in the van.
June 7: To My Left
While I was walking around the house, I found a little girl to my left, using the shears to cut our bush.
Also playing in the yard was this silly little guy who was wearing a grill cover on his left foot.
June 8: Mates
June 9: Paper
June 3: Relax
I sat here on the couch with my son so we could snuggle and relax while watching a movie this afternoon. We are smiling (sort of) because we got to spend time together.
June 4: Thinking
Tabitha was thinking very hard to work through a mystery in her Critical Thinking Detective book from The Critical Thinking Co, a current review product. My review posted last week.
June 5: Logical
Couldn't think of what to do for this prompt, then hubby mentioned Star Trek. Thought it was a great idea, with Spock being all about the logic. Still wasn't sure what to do for a picture, but found this DVD at Wal-Mart. Figured it worked well enough, though I would have preferred the original Spock.
June 6: Writing
Amelia was working on her cursive writing today with one of our current review products, New American Cursive 2 from Memoria Press. (This review posted this past week too.)
June 7: Stories
With all these stories to choose from for her reading time, she chose this Secret of the Hidden Scrolls: The Beginning, which funnily enough is another one of our review products, this one from last year. Technically it was this school year though. She's never read this one by herself, we'll see how she does.
June 8: Garden
Drove around town to see what kind of garden I could find. Not that much available. I had two that I liked. Not sure if this first one would be considered a garden, but it works for me.
This was actually my first choice, but when we drove by, there were people sitting out there. You know, how dare people be sitting out in front of their own homes enjoying their garden. Drove around again and was able to get this shot. I love the arch.
June 9: Veggies
Yes, there are some veggies under those eggs and salad dressing. Just lettuce today. Didn't get in near as many veggies as usual.
Third challenge: MegaMotherhood from Jamerrill Stewart.
June 3: Smile
Yes, I did use this for all three prompts. I sat here on the couch with my son so we could snuggle and relax while watching a movie this afternoon. We are smiling (sort of) because we got to spend time together.
June 4: Reading Now
I am now reading the 5th book in the I am Number Four series, for the second time. Was reading on the way to the Y today.
June 5: Routine
Our routine was slightly off today as we had to go shopping this afternoon. So we had afternoon routine while I was making lunch. Which meant Hannah, who had mommy-time, got to help with lunch.
June 6: Breakfast
Decided to try something different for breakfast this morning, cabbage in my scrambled eggs. I was pleasantly surprised.
My yummy scrambled eggs with radishes and that new tasty cabbage stuff. Next to the children's cereal, which was waiting for them to wake up and come downstairs to eat.
June 7: Slow
Children demonstrating how to go slow in the park, so the cars will understand what "Watch Children" means.
In relation to my "slow" picture, here are the children demonstrating that THEY are allowed to go fast.
June 8: Happy
Happy children getting to roam free, climb, have fun, etc after having taken a "field trip" to the library to see A Wrinkle in Time. Yes, we went to see it. It was pretty good, not the best, but we enjoyed it. Wasn't too bad at all.
Yes, that is Amelia on top of the wall. She had walked the whole length.
Another look at Little Miss Daring. Hannah is balancing too, just a bit closer to the ground.
We went to the library again the next day, and Amelia wanted to show big sister Krystal what she could do. Tabitha joined in. She's not quite as daring I guess. LOL.
June 9: Required for Sanity
Seems lots and lots of coffee are required to keep the hubby sane. LOL
Aaannnnd on to the fourth challenge: Homeschool Instagrammers
June 9: Something Old
I chose to take a picture of the old school in town. I am not sure what years the school was actually used, but I know it hasn't been used as a school in ages.
I sat here on the couch with my son so we could snuggle and relax while watching a movie this afternoon. We are smiling (sort of) because we got to spend time together.

June 9: Paper
I remembered that the library has these newspapers hanging on a rack. Couldn't pass up this chance for this prompt. Though I couldn't decide which angle I like better. Which is your favorite?
Then there is the challenge I am doing with the
Homeschool Review Crew

To be fair, Tabitha did end up walking some. She was just getting dizzy.
Seems lots and lots of coffee are required to keep the hubby sane. LOL
