Littles Learning Link Up: June 13, 2017

 Each month you will find:
  • A seasonal round-up (toward the beginning of the month)
  • Posts where I share what I have been up to with my preschoolers and/or early elementary children (including occasional highlight posts where I share how we used ideas that have been linked up here on Littles Learning Link Up).
Each week, I will host a link up, where you can share either what you have been up to recently, or old posts that may go with the theme.  Feel free to link up more than one post.

Each week I will continue to feature a couple of posts from those that have been linked up.

I hope you will continue to share your wonderful posts, and I hope you will find something new to try with your child(ren).

It would be great for everyone to stop by and visit the other linked-up posts as well. Check them out, leave some comments, pin those that interest you. Let's make this a real party and socialize with each other.

What have we been up to?

Last week we started learning about Russia, reading some informative books about life in Russia, plus trying to learn some Russian phrases. We have discovered that Russian isn't the most easy language to pronounce. We are also reading about the Arctic tundra. I was thrilled when the children had a chance to see some Russian Matryoshka Dolls. I wasn't sure where we would find any, though I remember playing with them at a relatives when I was a young girl. Fortunately, we visited my son and daughter-in-law this weekend for baby Annika's baptism, and I noticed she had some on the shelf.

We didn't get a lot of work done last week for a couple of reasons. One, I was busy working on three reviews. Three in one week does NOT usually happen. The children did most of their learning on those days, by using the computer (using K5 Learning which was one of the reviews and they watched some MarshMedia videos, another review) and watching educational shows. The other thing that kept us from work was our "field trip" on Friday to Pocono Raceway. Though the children did work in the van. I brought math worksheets, our Spanish materials (from Whistlefritz, the third review product), and books to read. Plus we spoke briefly about triangles (as the Pocono Raceway is in the shape of a triangle), and we timed the laps for a while. Daddy also taught them some things about racing and qualifying and such.

Here are a few pictures. I will probably be sharing more on this week's Wordless Wednesday.

This is the guy who won the race. Didn't realize until I was pulling up these pictures for the post that I got a picture of him on the screen.

Let's take a look at that review schedule:

Last week I posted my review for: Memoria Press Latina Christiana, MarshMedia, and K5 Learning. Yesterday I posted my review for WhistleFritz.
There will be two more reviews posting in June: The Adventures of Rush Revere Book Series and Hewitt Homeschooling. And in July I will post my reviews of Rigid Wrap and CelluClay Quik-Sculpting Kit from ACTÍVA Products, and the Trust Fund movie from Mapelle Films.

Some things I would like to share with you:

Father's Day is right around the corner! If you are looking for ideas for gifts or cards, I would love for you to check out my Father's Day Gift and Card Round Up.

Summer is also almost here. Whether you will be going to the beach or are looking to pretend to go to the beach, here is a fun round up of Beach-related activities. The Beach Fun Round Up.

Or maybe camping is more your "thing." Or maybe you have plans to go to the beach and to go camping this summer. Here is my Camping Fun Round Up.

I will soon be posting my Under the Sea Fishy Fun Literature and Craft Round Up. If you have any posts that you would like included in this round up, please leave me a comment or contact me using the contact info on my About Me page. I am looking for any "Favorite Fish/Under the Sea Books" compilation list posts or crafts/activities/snacks that go with a specific Fish/Under the Sea book, or a post that focuses on just one Fish/Under the Sea Book. Just so long as there is a book involved please.

Now onto:
