Littles Learning Link Up: Celebrating the Birth of Christ Through Literature - 10 Christmas Books that Focus on the true meaning of Christmas, Plus a Round Up

Welcome to Littles Learning Link Up. Each month you will find:
  • A seasonal round-up (usually toward the beginning of the month)
  • A guest post featuring crafts, activities, tips, snack ideas or other early childhood topics. (usually toward the end of the month)
  • Posts where I share what I have been up to with my preschoolers and/or early elementary children (including occasional highlight posts where I share how we used ideas that have been linked up here on Littles Learning Link Up).
Each week, I will host a link up, where you can share either what you have been up to recently, or old posts that may go with the theme.  Feel free to link up more than one post.

Each week I will continue to feature a couple of posts from those that have been linked up.

I hope you will continue to share your wonderful posts, and I hope you will find something new to try with your child.

It would be great for everyone to stop by and visit the other linked-up posts as well. Check them out, leave some comments, pin those that interest you. Let's make this a real party and socialize with each other.

It's time for this month's Round Up

Last month I tried something different for my round up post. I shared a selection of Thanksgiving books that focused on the first Thanksgiving and then I shared a round up of Thanksgiving Book lists that other bloggers have compiled, plus craft/activity posts that went with Thanksgiving books. I decided to do the same thing this month and may continue this through the new year.

This month I decided to compile some wonderful books that focus on the true meaning of Christmas: Jesus. Some of these books we have had for a while, some I have even posted about here on Tots and Me; however, some are new books I just discovered at the library. One was even introduced to us at church this past Sunday during the Children's message on Children's Sunday.

As I did last month, after I share my book selections, I will share a list of posts that also compile Christmas books, then there will be some fun craft/activity posts that focus on books.  I hope you find some new books to share with your children this Christmas.

  1. This year, our favorite Advent activities have all centered around the new Shepherd on the Search tradition. I just love how we're engaging in a fun countdown-to-Christmas activity, but it's centered on the shepherd's search for baby Jesus! (I just wrote a post on it, if you're interested in checking it out). You've shared some really great resources in this post! Happy Tuesday!
