Littles Learning Link Up: Paper Plate Sun Crafts

 Each month you will find:
  • A seasonal round-up (toward the beginning of the month)
  • A guest post featuring crafts, activities, tips, snack ideas or other early childhood topics. (toward the end of the month)
  • Posts where I share what I have been up to with my preschoolers and/or early elementary children.
Each week, I will host a link up, where you can share either what you have been up to recently, or old posts that may go with the theme.  Feel free to link up more than one post.

Each week I will continue to feature a couple of posts from those that have been linked up.

I hope you will continue to share your wonderful posts, and I hope you will find something new to try with your child.

It would be great for everyone to stop by and visit the other linked-up posts as well. Check them out, leave some comments, pin those that interest you. Let's make this a real party and socialize with each other.

I had every intention of sharing a round up of great apple related crafts, activities and snack ideas this week. However, I am still overwhelmed with the amount of posts that other bloggers shared with me and I am going to need some more time to go through them in order to get them organized. So, this month's Littles Learning Link Up Round Up will be posting next week.

This week I would like to share some crafts the older girls came up with while they were teaching the younger children on "Student Teacher Day" (which is every Wednesday when we don't have co-op).

Paper Plate Sun Crafts

The children wanted to go outside to gather leaves for a project (yes, there are already leaves falling off the trees and laying in our lawn).

Amelia always teaches Harold. They colored their paper plates with markers. Amelia colored one side yellow and the other red/orange for the sunset.

Then she used yellow/orange leaves for the sun's rays.

Tabitha had a different idea for her craft with Hannah. They drew pictures on their plates that included the sun.

Then Tabitha dictated a Sun poem she made up and I printed it out for them to add to the back of their pictures. Of course, she read it to Hannah first.

I also wanted to make sure you were aware of a great giveaway I am hosting.
I had the chance to review some new games from Blue Orange Games called Super Genius.
We received both the Addition and the First Words games.
You can check out my review and enter to win one of your own Super Genius games by checking out my Super Genius Learning Games Review and Giveaway post.

Now onto:
Littles Learning Link Up Features

On my last Littles Learning Link Up post, there were 15 wonderful posts linked up. I will be sharing one randomly selected post and the top clicked on posts. This week there were 4 that received the same number of clicks.

Please remember, for this to be a successful linky party, we need to be visiting some of the other posts that are linked up. See what catches your eye, stop by, pin the post to a relevant board, and perhaps leave a comment to let the author of the blog know you have been by for a visit. I know I appreciate others commenting and letting me know they have read my posts, so I am sure others do too.
This week's randomly selected post is:

Jamie from Hands On As We Grow shared this great Toddler Busy Board. Instructions are included on how to make one for your own child.

This week's features posts are:

1- A Little Pinch of Perfect shared Cute Free Printable Calendar For Circle Time with Kids.
2- Jen from Chestnut Grove Academy share SimplyFun Saturday- Bee Alert!
3- Trillium Montessori shared Music Resources for the Preschool Classroom.
4- Michelle from Homeschool Your Boys shared Homeschooling Boys? Need Help?

I would love to have you join in this week! What sort of activities do you do with your young children? Do you have some favorite activities you would like to share? I invite you to link up below. I will be pinning posts on my Toddler Ideas or other relevant board, and I would love to feature some of the activities each week from what is linked up.

Please know I may share a picture from your post and link back to it, along with sharing how we used your idea in our school time. By linking up you are giving me permission to use a picture from your post. I will ALWAYS give credit and link back. Additionally, if you choose to try out any of the ideas with your child, please make sure you give credit where credit is due.

Linky will be open through Sunday night, to give me time to check out all the posts and get the Features organized. Please take the time to visit some of the other wonderful posts linked up.
