Our next door neighbor was getting rid of a computer desk. Even though hubby offered to pay them something for it three times, they would not accept. So...we got a new computer desk for free. Now we can be organized better and I don't have to worry about baby Harold bumping his head on the corner of the drawer the keyboard was on. Plus, the printer is up higher so he can't reach it. Unfortunately the tower is down and he can turn the computer off.
While reorganizing desks Sunday evening the children got to sit at the old computer desk in the dining room to eat dinner.
The old computer desk took the place of the unstable desk in the dining room where the stereo is. We store the library books underneath.
It always feels great to have a new organized work station. Setting up my home office was one of the first priorities when we moved a while back.

ReplyDeleteLucky you! You have such great neighbours!
ReplyDeleteThat cubby hole above the drawer in the new desk would hold a couple of napping kitties perfectly. But you do seem to have your hands full. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbet and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I remember the days of my youngest turning off my computer, lol. I'd totally forgotten about that, you made me laugh. :)
ReplyDeleteI love to be organized. Hubby calls it OCD but I call it 'knowing where to find your stuff the next time you are looking for it'!

ReplyDeleteYAY for a fabulous freebie! Desks can get expensive, so I'd say that's a great score!
ReplyDeletethe old desk was nice too, now it has a new purpose. can you come & clean up my desk area? I tend to bury flat surfaces with paper, LOL.
