Turkey Cookies

I wanted the girls to make a special treat to take to play group today.  I had a cute turkey cookie idea in my mind from something I had done years ago when the older children were younger and I would make snacks to share at school.  I couldn't remember exactly how it was made, so I just went to the store the other day and looked around to see what would work.  The fudge striped cookies were the only thing I could remember were definitely part of the cookies from years ago.  Here are all the ingredients we used:

We put the cookies on the cookie sheet, stripes going up and down:

The girls unwrapped the mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups:

Then they placed them onto the cookies on top of the chocolate frosting I was using as adhesive:

I cut off the bottom yellow part of the candy corn to use as heads:

Then Tabitha attached candy corn tail feathers while I cut out the wattles from the fruit roll ups, then I added the beaks which were the top white tips from the candy corn:

This was my test cookie from last night:

Here are the cookies we took to play group:

Patiently waiting for Miss Karen to take a picture so they could eat the cookies:

Yummy:
