Scavenger Hunt Sunday: August 31, 2014

Time for some Scavenger Hunt Sunday!

I realize it has been a long time since I have participated (again). I always have plans of doing better it seems. Now that the summer is over and we are starting back up with lessons, maybe I can get back on a schedule with my blog too. For this week, I am going to share my photos for the last two weeks worth of prompts.

Table Setting, Flowers, Children, Running, Photographer's Choice

Table Setting
Don't need a table setting when you are sitting on the ground outside the library during the end-of-summer-reading-program party.

Flowers
The flowers in our flower box by the road.

Children
What says "children" better than little ones eagerly begging for balloons.

Running
Hannah running a race during game time at VBS

Photographer's Choice
One of my favorite photos from VBS, Harold enjoying a Sno-Kone.

Now for this week's prompts.

Back to School, Family, Books, Portrait, Detail

Back to School
You can tell it is back to school time when my table is covered with planners, notebooks, folders and more.

Family
My oldest daughter was with us when we went to the Bills game last week. I was able to convince her to take a picture of us, seeing as she isn't fond of being in the pictures.

Books
This picture was taken at the end-of-summer-reading-program at our local library (yes, we attend two). It was from this wonderful selection that children could choose their free books.

Portrait
I tried taking a picture of each of the children outside the church today. Tabitha's turned out the best, so I decided to use hers.

Detail

I did not realize the detail I was photographing when I took these pictures of Harold breaking open a peanut.

Throwback Thursday Blog-Style #11: August 28, 2014

Welcome back to...

I know, I know, Throwback Thursday seems to be all about sharing pictures from the past, great memories that mean something to you, that you would like to share with others. At least that is how it appears to me. Throwback Thursday wasn't something I was participating in, and then I came up with an idea.

I thought it would be great fun and a help to my blog to share old content, but not just any old content. Each week I will share an old blog post from a previous year, any year, BUT it has to be from the current week (for example, something I've posted around August 28th from any previous year)  I will go in, edit the post if needed, add a pinnable image if I don't already have one, and share it on Facebook.

Would you like to join in? You do not need to edit your past post in any way, you don't need to create a pinnable image, though it couldn't hurt, in fact it will help your blog traffic to add quality pinnable images to your posts. Just go into your archives, choose a favorite post from this current week from any previous year, and link it up below. I will be pinning posts to my appropriate Pinterest boards and will be randomly selecting a Featured Throwback Thursday post to share next week. Just a note, I will be sharing a picture from your post if you are selected as the featured post, but I will link back to your post. I will ALWAYS give credit and link back. By linking up you are giving me permission to use your picture in the post.

Here is my Throwback Thursday post:

Wordless Wednesday: August 27, 2014 (w/linky)- First Bills Game of the Year: Kids' Day!

Headed over to enjoy the Kids' Day events.

Checking out the new sights.

Kids' Day Fun

Almost game time! Headed to our seats.

Taking a quick walk to check out the top of the stadium. Something the children like to do at least once a year. This is the first time we got to use the new steps.

Checking out the new scoreboards

Spying on our real seats in the Family Section

Mommy does NOT climb all the way up. The reason I love our seats in the family section is because I don't have to climb to these heights. Not a fan of heights at all. So, I stay down below and take some pictures.

The view from our real seats.

Yay! A touchdown! "The Bills make me want to shout!"

Looking forward to seeing your Wordless (or not so wordless) Wednesday posts this week.
